
What is C Plus?
C Plus is a new, confidential information, advice and support service for individuals living with or affected by Hepatitis C. Its services are available for anyone in Edinburgh and the Lothians and are delivered in line with the values and aims of Mainliners. C Plus is funded by NHS Lothian and the City of Edinburgh Council, Drug and Alcohol Action Team.
Why is C Plus here?
C Plus aims to be flexible and responsive to your needs. It is here to help you cope with a Hepatitis C positive diagnosis, to keep you get well and discuss any associated concerns.
What can C Plus do for you?
If you’ve just been diagnosed with Hepatitis C, you may need someone to talk to.
· Someone in a safe and friendly environment.
· Someone who knows exactly what you’re going through.
· Someone to give you all the facts about your condition.
· Someone who can help you get access to other welfare services.
· Someone to support your family and friends.
· Someone with advice on how to keep well, and how to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
· Someone who can help you to make changes, to take control and to live positively.

One to One Support
To talk to someone at C Plus just dial 0131 478 7929. We’re more than happy to speak to you over the phone, or better still, meet you in person for one to one support. When difficulties arise we are here to help you. We’re also there to help you understand how to reduce the risk of transmission. So we can give guidance on drug use and safer sex as well as protection within your home or work environment.
Group Support
Every Wednesday between 12-2.30pm there’s an opportunity for you to share the friendship and experiences of others affected by Hepatitis C. Refreshments are provided.
Guest Speaker Sessions
On the third Thursday of each month we invite a speaker to talk about relevant issues and concerns. Please join us from 6.30-8.30pm.
The Walking Group
To encourage overall well being, three or four times a month we exercise our minds and bodies on a walk through our beautiful Scottish countryside.

How to get to C Plus
C Plus is in Leith, Edinburgh. Convenient for buses, the nearest bus stops are situated on Leith Walk, Duke Street and Easter Road. There is plenty of free parking around Academy Street.Leith Walk
Accessibility
C Plus is based on the first floor. Unfortunately, we do not yet have wheelchair access. If you have difficulty accessing C Plus, we are happy to visit you as part of our outreach services.
