Mainliners Mobile Need Exchange

Mainliners Outreach Team  runs a mobile needle exchange in the London Borough of Lambeth, which gives out free injecting equipment and paraphernalia. The service also provides information, support and advice to clients on a variety of issues to reduce possible harm caused by drug use.

The service works in partnership with a wide variety of organisations to safeguard the mental and physical health of clients, as well as assisting communities who struggle with public drug use. To this end, the service works extensively with Community Safety and Protection Officers and local Park Rangers. It also liaises closely with SPOTs (Street Population Outreach Teams) to enable a properly linked service to be delivered.

By working closely with key agencies, we are able to provide a clear pathway of care into mainstream services.
